Univent Automatic Roof Window Opener

The Univent allows solar-powered control of top and side-mounted window vents thanks to its dual springs. Univent window openers have an adjustable opening temperature of 60° F to 75° F and an 18" maximum opening which would be reached at approximately 20° to 30°F above the opening temperature. 

This model can be closed when it is opened during the rain or your demand. Work on most greenhouse roof windows in our store. Recommend on Sungrow, Sigma, RIGA and Winter Gardenz.

How does a Greenhouse Autovent work?
A strong metal tube contains a mineral wax that expands with heat. This pushes a piston which opens the auto vent via a balanced linkage. As the temperature drops, the wax shrinks and a strong spring closes the vent and resets the piston.

Your opener can be mounted all year round, however, your cylinder must be unscrewed by

1) Use of a heat source in your greenhouse

2) Winter storm, winter must be secured with the safety belt
