      • Why Janssens®?

Janssens® Victorian greenhouse aluminum profiles are larger, thicker, stronger than those of any competiter in this price range. The 4mm glass that Victorian used is better than other brands 3mm. You also can choose from glass or polycarbonate glacing.

      • Can I customised Janssens greenhouses in your store?

Yes. Please contact us for customise your owe Janssens greenhouse ideas. The lead time will be 5-6 months.

      • Glass or Poly?

GLASS: Traditional horticultural glass (3 to 4 mm thick) is most often used in greenhouses because it is cheaper than safety glass. However, it is less strong and when it breaks it shatters into sharp pieces. Safety glass is five to seven times stronger than horticultural glass and should it break in an extreme case, it will fall apart into small harmless pieces. All our conservatories are equipped with 4mm safety glass as standard.

POLYCARBONATE: If you want to completely prevent glass breakage and also want to pay attention to insulation, you can also opt for plastic windows. These consist of clear double sheets of polycarbonate. They insulate 40% better than single glass, which means less temperature fluctuations occur in the conservatory. An additional advantage of plastic is that the sun's rays are effectively filtered.

      Great structure but some quirks

I’ve had this greenhouse in use for about a year and like it overall but there are things I don’t like.

Things I like: looks good, holds up to wind and rain, window and roof vents are good quality, shipping was good.

Things I don’t like: assembly was a pain and instructions were difficult for the professionals I hired, the seed shelf is very difficult to clean and adjust position, grooves along the bottom of the inside collect bugs and dirt and are difficult to clean, the door stops are inadequate so I’m constantly having to put them back on so the door doesn’t slide off, the back finial fell off during the winter, the shade cloth collects dirt and bugs and is time consuming to disconnect to clean and doesn’t work well with the misting system hooked up.

I live in zone 8b so for similar climates I recommend getting two auto opening roof vents, putting a louvered window opposite the door, and using a different shade cloth.

We appreciate your attention to detail and understanding throughout this process. It appears there might have been some oversight regarding the resources provided for assembly. The spiral-bound manual from Exaco and the pictorial factory manual included in the pallet are both valuable guides, along with the assembly video playlist shared via email by Tyler/Diane. We want to know if you didn’t see the email from Exaco. You can always reach out to us or directly contact EXACO customer service for any assistance you may require during your greenhouse installation.

Regarding the seed tray, it's indeed best utilized for starting seedlings with soil, as it's specifically designed for that purpose. Understandably, using it solely as a shelf might present challenges in terms of cleaning due to its box-like design.

Now, concerning the door stops, it seems there may have been a slight oversight during installation. The door stoppers located in the top rail require tightening with a bolt to ensure proper functionality. Your installers should be able to locate the Phillips head of the door stop and tighten the bolt within the channel, resolving the issue permanently.

Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We're committed to ensuring your greenhouse installation is completed smoothly and to your satisfaction. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your satisfaction is our priority.

"I'm impressed with the quality of this greenhouse - it's well-built with great attention to detail. Although my husband and his friend, who work in construction full time, spent an entire weekend putting it together, the end result is worth it. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my greenhouse.
